About the Artist

Esther Eliashiv, International Artist (1930-2023) 

Esther Eliashiv is a third generation Israeli who has exhibited her art works in four continents since 1964. She has presented one-woman exhibitions in Israel, Australia, Japan, Sinagapore, Switzerland and United States. Her works are in a number of musuems and private collections throughout the world.

Esther Eliashiv studied at the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem and the the Israeli Institute of Technology in Haifa. Among her teachers were the top Israeli artists Jacob Pins, Mordechai Arnon, Isidor Ascheim and Yitzhak Danziger.

She acquired a strong foundation in painting and sculpture at the Academia Bella Arte in Rome and in New York at the Art Student`s League, and studied printmaking and sculpture at private art schools.

 

Inspiration & Motto

The physical reality is the basis for the construction of a plastic form, which conveys not only the visual characteristics but also its psychological, spiritual and imaging susggestion. "

Art Medium

Esther Eliashiv uses various art medium, the types of materials used to create her artwork. No limits exist.

Paint and drawing media commonly include acrylic, oil paint, gouache, ink, watercolor, charcoal, pastels. The common base for this type of media include canvas, glass, paper. Printing media and techniques include engraving, etching, lithography, silk and screen printing. Sculpture media and carving tools include stone, wax, wood, plaster, clay, and bronze. Mixed media combines mediums that create endless other mediums. Medium additives are virtually any object or materials that is used to enhance the artwork. </p
